The Middle Room have been learning how to play badminton over the last few weeks. Ms. Graham attended a Shuttle Time training course organised by Cavan Sports Partnership in January and recieved a bag of racquets, shuttles and a net for the school. The children have been learning the basic of the sport since then.
3rd and 4th Class got the opportunity to put their skills to the test at a Badminton Blitz in Cavan Leisure Centre on Wednesday. There were a number of other schools also taking part, and the children enjoyed playing a wide range of games organised by coaches from Badminton Ireland. The children showed off their badminton skills, as well as great team work and co-operation. Thank you to Cavan Sports Partnership and Badminton Ireland for the opportunity to learn a new sport – we have lots of boys and girls interested in joining the local club!
