Killeshandra National School (C. of I.) is a mixed school under the patronage of the Church of Ireland. It is situated on the Main Street of Killeshandra town. There are three classroom teachers and one learning support teacher based in the school. The current school building dates back to 1978 and an extension was added in 2010. Children attending the school come from a wide catchment area, including the areas of Killeshandra, Derrylane, Killegar and Carrigallen. Killeshandra N.S. strives to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere, where the child’s intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, moral and cultural needs are nurtured.
